 WHO WE ARE

Future Directions was established by Chris Gledhill in order to support the public, private and third sectors to find environmental management solutions that will improve their sustainability and profitability. With a desire to run his own company and to make his own contribution to our planet’s survival by making organisations aware and understand environmental management issues, Chris set up Future Directions in 2009 following a successful thirty year career in environmental and conservation management (the latter fifteen at General Manager and CEO level).

Future Directions is headed by Chris Gledhill. Chris is a science graduate with post graduate qualifications in Management Studies, and Ecology and Behaviour. He has experienced aspects of environmental management challenges at all levels- from a countryside ranger dealing with front-line issues, to land management balancing the many different needs of major infrastructure projects, constraints and customer demands with the hard realities of managing to a multi million pound budget, to more recently as a CEO of a National Park Authority, dealing with the strategic and tactical goals of a large organisation.

Chris has extensive experience working across the public, private and voluntary sectors engaging with them on a variety of projects including economic and rural development, environmental management to embedding sustainable business solutions in a range of organisations and maximising on the economic benefits that can be acheived through the integration of emnvironmental management with operational procedures.

Chris brings a wide range of experience to Future Directions. In the environmental and tourism sectors this includes;
